The Lions Foundation of Canada Dog Guides (www.dogguides.com) empowers Canadians living with disabilities and medical conditions to navigate their world with confidence and independence.
This wonderful Organization raises all their own operational funding (receives no government grants) and changes the lives of the families that welcome the Dog Guides into their homes, at no cost to the receivers.

Lions in action
We recently held our first Information Night. We invited potential new members to find out more about what the Aurora Lions do. We were pleased to share the list of programs and initiatives that we undertake in order to provide support for our community. We also invited Hope House Community Hospice - formerly Hospice King-Aurora and 360ºkids and presented them each with a cheque for $500. It was a great night!
We are excited to explore a new partnership with Richmond Hill Bingo and Gaming this Autumn! Not only will we be out and about in our lovely community, we will also raise funds that we can use to create positive change and growth! More info to come soon.
Our Walk for Dog Guides was a huge success. We more than tripled our donations from last year bringing in over $8000!

Throughout the year, we collect pull tabs which support the Lions Foundation of Canada Dog Guides and used eye glasses that are sent to emerging countries.
